  • Press Escape to dismiss a login error without leaving your place in the queue.

  • Fixed character creation, Back navigation and preview reset. New characters start with 0 Gold. Confirm character deletion by typing DELETE.

ONLINE COMBAT

  • Attacks and initial Main Skill effects now start locally in the shared town while the server validates mana, cooldowns and hits.
  • Server confirmations no longer replay the same predicted attack animation or release sound.
  • Fixed dash corrections replaying dash effects and allowing another dash before its cooldown ended.
  • Directional projectile attacks now follow the character's facing instead of the free-look camera, and retain the input direction through delayed server releases.
  • Fixed online projectiles flying in a different direction on clients. Their visual movement now smoothly follows the server's trajectory.
  • Fixed online mana display refilling incorrectly between server updates while using mana-draining skills.
  • Mana display now follows server recovery and aura costs, including after changes to maximum mana.
  • Fixed online skill damage and effects, projectiles and mana synchronization.
  • Fixed a server profile mismatch that blocked skills, stash access and arena entry.
  • Fixed equipped skills reverting after saving or reconnecting.

MULTIPLAYER APPEARANCE

  • Fixed other players appearing as the default character instead of their equipped skin.
  • Skins, auras and pets now update for other players when changed and after joining the shared town or respawning.

IN-GAME CHAT

  • Chat follows new messages while you are at the bottom of its history.
  • Scrolling up keeps your reading position when messages arrive or a sent message is confirmed. Scrolling back to the bottom resumes automatic scrolling.
  • Removed the Connected label from the chat window.
  • Added Global chat to talk with other players. Press Enter to open the chat window.
  • Press Enter to open chat and pause your local arena while typing. Press Enter to send; press Escape or Enter on an empty message to close chat and resume playing.
  • Added a read-only System tab for server announcements. Scheduled shutdown countdowns appear in both System and Global.
  • Added a read-only Leaderboard tab. When a Top 3 character conquers a new personal highest floor, their name, floor and current rank appear here and in Global.
  • Added an emoji picker, support for Unicode emoji and 7TV emotes displayed as static images.
  • Chat keeps receiving messages while your local arena is paused. Character names and announcements use distinct colours for easier reading.
  • Chat is hidden when idle. New messages appear without a window or frame and fade out within 15 seconds.
  • Added local timestamps to messages in both the chat history and on-screen notifications.
  • While chat is open, drag its header to move it and its bottom-right corner to resize it. Your layout is saved between areas and game sessions.
  • Added Chat Opacity to Settings > Interface to adjust the transparency of the chat window and messages.
  • Improved chat refreshes so the closed HUD does not repeatedly rebuild its message history.
  • Added item links and tooltips in chat, plus chat bubbles above nearby players.
  • Restored the original text size in collapsed chat.

INVENTORY AND STORAGE

  • Sharpened the Soul Reliquary Key icon for clearer inventory slots and item tooltips.
  • Fixed severe lag in the Items tab caused by repeatedly loading incompatible older character saves.
  • Improved inventory refreshes and the responsiveness of item upgrade indicators.
  • Added a moving golden sheen to Unique item backgrounds in the inventory.
  • Unique and Mythic items now retain their animated rarity backgrounds in the stash, including after moving items, switching tabs and loading your character again.
  • Keys no longer appear in the Blacksmith's inventory when upgrading, enchanting or salvaging equipment.
  • Hold Left Alt over equipment to see the minimum and maximum current rolls for each stat at its Item Level. Roll ranges also account for item rarity and upgrades, and appear on both comparison cards.
  • Items with stat values outside the current roll ranges show a notice while Left Alt is held. Their existing stats are preserved.
  • While Left Alt is held, stat values use the same decimal precision as their roll ranges, fixing cases where rounding made a valid roll appear outside its limits.
  • Use Right Alt to switch between your equipped rings when comparing a ring.
  • Fixed ring comparisons showing a different equipped ring from the one replaced by right-click. Equipping now replaces the ring shown in the comparison, including after switching hands with Right Alt. Open comparisons now update when your equipment or character stats change.
  • Materials, crafting scrolls, Souls and keys can now be dragged to the slot you choose within their inventory tabs.
  • Your layout is saved and stays in place after collecting loot, reopening the inventory or restarting the game. Use Sort when you want to arrange stacks automatically.
  • Material and key stacks can now be transferred between your inventory and stash.
  • Fixed compatibility issues with older stashes so stored items can be loaded correctly.
  • Unwanted material, scroll, Soul and key stacks can now be dragged to Trash. A confirmation appears before the entire stack is deleted.
  • Locked stacks and keys inserted into the arena gateway are protected from deletion.
  • Deleting unused Souls does not remove the permanent bonuses from Souls you have already absorbed.
  • Fixed invisible equipment blocking slots in Keys and pushing newly collected keys down the tab. Equipment is now hidden correctly, while keys can still be moved between available slots.
  • Forgotten Gate now remembers your last selected arena floor, including after using a key or restarting the game.
  • Arena floors now increase from left to right. The selection arrows and scrolling animation follow the same direction.
  • Smoother inventory updates at the Blacksmith, especially with a full inventory.
  • Fixed online stash transfers, equipment persistence, appearance and weapon-based class updates after relogging.
  • Fixed Blacksmith training and online item sorting.
  • Fixed garbled arrows, separators and other symbols in the Blacksmith and other menus on some PCs.

CHARACTER DETAILS

  • Added Attribute Breakdown at the bottom of Character Details. See the Base value and total Increased percentage for Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence. Base includes allocated points and flat bonuses from equipment and the Skill Tree.
  • Separate More attribute bonuses are shown when active. The breakdown updates immediately when your attributes change.
  • Dexterity now grants 0.08% Attack Speed per point, down from 0.1%.

TOWER TREE

  • Added Goblin Stampede after Goblin Variants in the Floor 100 district. Its 10 points grant up to a 0.8% chance per normal Tower wave to replace ordinary and Colossal enemies with Goblins; the final boss remains.
  • Treasure Hoarders now show a type icon beside their name, making special variants easier to recognise.
  • Fixed encounters failing to appear on valid arena ground.
  • Goblin Beginner unlocks in the Floor 10 district and now costs 15 points. Completing it raises Treasure Goblin chance from the 10% base to 30% per combat wave.
  • Added Goblin Adept in the Floor 50 district: 15 points add another 30 percentage points, reaching 60% with Goblin Beginner complete.
  • Added Goblin Expert in the Floor 100 district: 30 points add another 40 percentage points. Completing all three nodes guarantees a Treasure Goblin attempt each combat wave while no other Treasure Goblin is active.
  • Goblin Variants is now active. Completing its 10 points grants a 10% chance for a special Goblin per Goblin encounter. This chance is shared equally between the available variants.
  • Renamed Treasure Goblins to Treasure Hoarders. Special variants now have distinct names, appearances and arrival laughs.
  • Material Hoarders drop 24-40 upgrade materials available at the current floor and have a 10% chance to drop one crafting scroll. They do not drop equipment.
  • Soul Hoarders appear from Floor 10 and drop only Souls: one stack of each of the nine Soul types. Each stack contains 10-15 Souls on Floors 10-49, 15-20 on Floors 50-99, 20-25 on Floors 100-149, 25-30 on Floors 150-199, and 30-40 on Floors 200+.
  • XP Hoarders drop eight glowing Experience orbs without loot labels. Collecting all eight awards eight times a normal Treasure Hoarder's Experience. They award no Experience on death and drop no other loot; pets cannot collect the orbs.
  • Added the Goblin Hoardlord, a lightning-covered Goblin five times normal size with a deep arrival laugh. Defeating it releases five Hoardlord Brood Goblins at 2.5 times normal size. Each Brood releases three normal Treasure Hoarders when defeated, for 15 final Goblins.
  • Hoardlords and their Brood drop no loot themselves; the final Treasure Hoarders each drop their usual treasure. Escape portals match each Goblin's size, and killing a parent can only split it once.
  • Existing Goblin investments carry over. Points above the new 15-point Beginner limit are refunded, and shared Tower Tree loadouts remain compatible.
  • Renamed Tower Tree nodes and shortened their tooltips, with smaller text and clearer descriptions of each bonus.
  • Shrine, Cursed Shrine, Treasure Goblin and Colossal Chest tooltips now show their chance per combat wave, with clearer encounter limits and reward details.
  • Clarified the Boss Rush chance for extra bosses and the separate bonus that reduces combat waves.
  • Unfinished Tower Tree nodes are hidden before Floor 150.
  • Shrine Beginner unlocks in the Floor 10 district and now costs 15 points to complete, granting up to 50% Shrine chance per combat wave.
  • Added Shrine Adept in the Floor 50 district: 15 points grant another 50 percentage points, reaching a guaranteed base Shrine each combat wave when both nodes are complete and no unclaimed Shrine remains.
  • Added Shrine Expert in the Floor 100 district: 30 points grant up to a 20% chance per combat wave for a second Shrine. Completing all 30 ranks also extends newly acquired Shrine buffs from 60 to 70 seconds.
  • Bonus Shrines can appear in later waves while the first Shrine is waiting to be claimed. At most two unclaimed regular Shrines can be present; an unclaimed Shrine prevents another base Shrine from spawning.
  • Added Wisdom Shrine as the fifth regular blessing. It grants 50% more total Experience from all sources, multiplying the final reward by 1.5 after other Experience bonuses.
  • Reacquiring the same Shrine blessing refreshes its duration without stacking its strength. Experience earned while Wisdom is active keeps its bonus even if the blessing expires before the reward is delivered.
  • Existing Shrine investments are retained. Completing the former 25-point first Shrine node now refunds its ten excess points.
  • Shrine Beginner, Shrine Adept, Goblin Beginner and Goblin Adept keep their full bonuses at 15 points. Existing complete 20-point allocations return 5 points each; partial investments are preserved.
  • Finite Tower arenas now have at most 5 normal combat waves before the final boss encounter, down from 10. Lower floors keep their gradual wave progression.
  • Added Arena Mastery: Fewer Waves in the Floor 100 district. Each rank costs 1 Tower Point; 10 points remove one combat wave and 20 points remove two.
  • Completing both wave-reduction nodes removes up to four normal waves, reducing a five-wave arena to one. The final boss encounter still follows.
  • Wave-reduction bonuses apply from the next floor start. Boss counts, endless runs and Soul Sanctuary waves are unaffected.
  • Clarified Boss Rush descriptions: extra bosses appear together in the final encounter, one roll sets the total per floor, and every boss must be defeated to finish it. Encounter tooltips also explain when an existing encounter blocks another spawn.
  • Tower Tree has shorter descriptions, colored rune nodes and new anime icons, including a four-leaf clover for Rarity. Early unfinished nodes are hidden.
  • Added Floor 50 Tower Tree nodes for up to 50% more Key and Upgrade Scroll drop chance, including bosses.
  • Treasure Goblin's spawn voice now follows the Voice (dialogue) volume setting.
  • Fixed Goblin-only waves ending when one Goblin escaped: each Goblin keeps its own portal and lifetime, and Infinite waves continue.
  • Goblin-only waves use the original escape behaviour: two interruptible casts, followed by a protected third cast.

CRAFTING SCROLLS

  • Hold Left Shift while using a crafting scroll from Materials to keep it selected and use more of the same scroll on items. Each successful use consumes one scroll.
  • Release Left Shift, press Escape or right-click to end repeated use.

SOULS

  • Fixed the Souls tab rounding fractional bonuses. Bonuses per Soul and absorbed totals now display their decimal values correctly.
  • Soul of Renewal now grants +0.15% increased Health Regeneration per newly absorbed Soul, down from +0.5%.
  • Soul of Serenity now grants +0.15% increased Mana Regeneration per newly absorbed Soul, down from +0.5%.
  • Newly absorbed Vitality Souls now grant 0.5 maximum Health each.
  • Newly absorbed Mana Souls now grant 0.75 maximum Mana each.
  • Newly absorbed Energy Shield Souls now grant 0.75 maximum Energy Shield each.
  • Previously absorbed Soul bonus totals are preserved.
  • Regeneration Soul bonuses add together and increase your flat regeneration.
  • Both new Souls drop from Floor 10 onward, stack without a limit in Materials and can be stored in your stash. Right-click to absorb the entire stack.
  • Added distinct icons and permanent bonus entries for both new Souls.
  • Adjusted Soul drop pacing to keep all nine kinds evenly distributed.
  • Souls now begin dropping from enemies at Floor 10, down from Floor 50.
  • Soul stacks dropped in the Tower now grow with difficulty: Floors 10–49 drop 10–20 Souls, Floors 50–99 drop 10–30, Floors 100–149 drop 10–40, Floors 150–199 drop 20–50, and Floors 200+ drop 30–100 of the selected Soul type.
  • Character resets now clear absorbed Souls and their permanent bonuses correctly.
  • Fixed absorbed Soul bonuses disappearing from character stats after loading into another area. All absorbed bonuses now apply automatically after travel.

LOOT AND BAD-LUCK PROTECTION

  • Restored Mythic drop chances from non-boss enemies to their previous rates.
  • Fixed Unique bad-luck protection failing to reset after an arena boss dropped a Unique. Any Unique drop now resets protection for the entire Unique loot pool, including Moonwell Signet.
  • Fixed delayed resets and incorrect drop ordering when several items dropped in quick succession.

ITEM BALANCE

  • Doubled primary Armor and Evasion rolls across all equipment rarities. This applies to newly obtained items and rerolled stats.
  • Increased primary Energy Shield rolls by 20% across all equipment, including rings and relics. This applies to newly obtained items and rerolled stats.
  • Mana Unique items now grant 3 base Maximum Mana per character level, down from 15.
  • Armor and Evasion stacking Unique items now grant 2 base Armor or Evasion per character level, down from 15.
  • These fixed bonuses update on existing equipment and stack when several matching Unique items are equipped.
  • Rebalanced equipment stats with smoother growth up to item level 500 and lower Critical Chance rolls. Applies to new items and enchantment rolls; existing gear keeps its stats.

EXPERIENCE

  • Reduced enemy Experience rewards on Floors 1-50 by 50%.
  • Enemy Experience now grows by 5.5% per floor from Floor 100, giving higher-floor enemies larger rewards.
  • Fixed high-floor Experience rewards stopping their growth prematurely.
  • Fixed earned Experience and character levels being saved or restored incorrectly during loading.

SKILLS

  • Added Cyclone as a Main Skill, plus Fireball and Ice Pillar proc skills.
  • Removed the old Lightning Combo and Fire Beam skills.
  • Fixed overlapping Cyclone effects and lingering pulses when leaving a map.
  • Bow basic attacks now pierce enemies with a visible projectile.
  • Rain of Arrows replaces Wind Shear as the main bow area attack. Hold its input to repeat attacks or double-tap to toggle automatic casting.
  • Sword basic attacks now release a slash projectile in sync with their attack animation.
  • Added Ice Nova and Scorch Trail proc skills.
  • Updated the visual effects for Arcane Bolts and Fire Aura.
  • Fixed sword attacks registering an extra melee hit alongside their slash projectile.

COMBAT AND TOWER BALANCE

  • Rare Relic Routes: reduced the maximum Item Rarity bonus to 25%, down from 50%. Each rank now grants 1.25% Item Rarity.
  • Ascendant Fortune: reduced the maximum Item Rarity bonus to 50%, down from 200%. Each rank now grants 2% Item Rarity.
  • On Floors 1–99, a successful enemy hit deals at least 1% of that attack's original damage after defensive reductions. This minimum now scales with the enemy's attack, so weak enemies cannot deal extra damage based on your maximum Health. Energy Shield and mana protection absorb this damage before Health.
  • Dodged hits and hits during the 0.2-second immunity window do not trigger minimum damage.
  • Increased enemy Health growth on Floors 11-50. Normal enemies now reach 3,000 Health at Floor 50.
  • Enemy Health now grows by 18% per floor after Floor 50, down from 20%.
  • Smoothed enemy damage growth on Floors 11-50, removing sudden damage increases at Floors 21 and 30.
  • Enemy damage now grows by 4% per floor from Floor 51 through Floor 150.
  • Damage growth slows after Floor 150, then increases by 1.37% per floor after Floor 200.
  • Standard arena bosses now have 160 times base Health, down from 250 times.
  • Restored the intended Skill Tree bonuses after an unintended balance change.

ARENAS

  • Disabled the temporary Forgotten Gate prank.
  • Updated arena walls and navigation in Desert Ruins, Magical, Plains Forest, Snow Tundra and Volcanic.
  • Updated Flower Plains with revised scenery, boundaries and navigation.
  • Adjusted tree sizes and placement in Snow Tundra.
  • Progress now autosaves after every 5 completed waves in Infinite Farming.
  • Fixed arena travel, wave progress, loot and XP saving, and returning to Town with B.
  • Restored chest, shrine and curse rewards, plus Soul and Mysterious arena rewards and unused key recovery.

BOSS HEALTH BAR

  • Reduced the boss health bar by a further 20% and tightened its spacing from the top edge at Full HD and 2560 x 1440.
  • Fixed the boss health bar disappearing after closing the inventory. It now returns with the correct Health and phase indicators; defeated bosses remain hidden.

SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Scheduled shutdowns now announce whether a patch, maintenance or a restart is incoming. The reason appears once when the countdown begins.
  • Remaining time is announced every five minutes, then at one minute and at 50, 40, 30, 20 and 10 seconds. The final message is "Server is restarting...".
  • Shutdown warnings continue updating while your private arena is paused. When the countdown ends, the game returns to the login screen with the server update notice.

SUPPORT REPORTS

  • Added Support Report to Settings > Interface. After a connection problem or an unexpected exit, you can review a local incident summary and choose to send it to support.
  • Reports include your game version, character, area and basic PC information: CPU, GPU, operating system and RAM. Reports are linked to the account that sends them.
  • Reports are sent only when you select Send Report. IP addresses, passwords, computer names, full logs and memory dumps are excluded.
  • If sending is interrupted, the report stays on your PC so you can retry. Confirmed reports show a reference number for support.

SOUL SANCTUARY

  • Added a visible countdown before the next automatic wave.
  • The urn now visibly fills as enemies are defeated: its runes brighten, its Soul surface rises and an animated blue Soul flame grows above it. The flame burns continuously during the wave, and the urn empties after completed rewards are released.
  • A Sanctuary Guardian now appears after the regular enemies in every tenth wave. Defeat it to release three times that wave's collected Souls. Guardian waves keep the usual Experience rewards and remain separate from Tower progression.
  • Reduced Elite frequency in Soul Sanctuary by 40%, from a 70% chance to 42%.
  • Improved monster and effect preloading between waves, and spread out spawning to reduce stuttering.
  • Soul Sanctuary enemies no longer trigger saves during combat. Completed-wave rewards are saved between waves and released only after saving succeeds.
  • Simplified the urn controls by removing the decorative arch around the Soul icon.
  • Fixed automatic Soul Sanctuary waves getting stuck on "Releasing Souls" after all enemies were defeated.
  • Redesigned the Soul Sanctuary entry window with an ornate frame, a central key slot and clearer entry controls.
  • Added new sanctuary artwork with a naturally proportioned urn and more space around the shrine.
  • Redesigned the arena display with clearer difficulty, wave and enemy counters, a wave-clear progress bar and an automatic wave indicator.
  • Moved urn controls to the side of the screen to keep the character and the center of the arena visible.
  • Fixed urn controls remaining hidden after a completed wave.
  • Fixed entering the Soul Sanctuary being blocked by a Mysterious Key left inserted in its arena window. Switching arenas keeps that unused key and remembers its selected difficulty.
  • Added the Soul Sanctuary, a dedicated Soul farming encounter in the Asian arena. Enter with a Soul Reliquary Key and approach the central urn to begin.
  • Waves begin at difficulty 100. Each completed wave raises the next difficulty by one, using the normal enemy scaling, up to a maximum difficulty of 200.
  • Start one wave manually or queue up to ten waves. Automatic sequences stop at difficulty 200, and no further waves can be started after clearing it. All waves take place in the same arena without loading screens between them.
  • Soul Sanctuary waves contain twice the usual number of enemies, with a bounded number active at once.
  • Defeated enemies send glowing spirits to the urn. Soul rewards accumulate inside it and burst out as collectible stacks when the wave clears.
  • Increased Soul reward frequency in the Sanctuary by a further 35%, with mixed Soul types. Each reward batch now contains 50% more Souls (15-60 instead of 10-40); rewards of the same type are combined in the urn.
  • Sanctuary enemies award 100% of their usual Experience when the wave clears. They do not drop equipment, gold, keys or other materials.
  • Sanctuary difficulty does not clear Tower floors, award Tower points or advance leaderboard progress. Your last visited Tower floor is preserved when you leave.
  • Rewards from completed waves remain available if you die or leave before collecting them. Unfinished waves must be cleared to receive their rewards.
  • Soul Reliquary Keys stack up to 99 and remain separate from other key types. Entering spends one key; cancelling the entry window leaves it available. Failed travel safely returns it.
  • Soul Reliquary Keys now drop from enemies on Floor 80 and above. Monsters have ten times their base Unique drop chance to drop one key; bosses have a fixed 1% chance. Key drops use a separate roll and do not affect Unique or Mythic bad-luck protection.

PERFORMANCE AND STABILITY

  • Reduced repeated work when updating Character Details and opening the Character Power breakdown.
  • Reduced material allocations when several enemy tornadoes appear together.
  • Fixed tornado effects failing to restart after increasing Enemy Skill Effects opacity from zero.
  • Improved recovery of large groups of uncollected rewards when returning to an area.
  • Fixed the B portal failing to return you from a private arena to the shared town while keeping your inventory intact.
  • Fixed Editor build errors in arena rewards and boss drops.
  • Fixed missing Sevarog textures.

UPDATER

  • Fixed existing game installations being rejected when Unreal creates configuration, log and save files inside the game folder. Updates now preserve those files and download only changed game data.
  • Choosing the launcher folder for game installation now shows a clear message asking you to select a different folder.
  • Fixed the launcher being mistaken for a running game.
  • The updater reuses matching game files and downloads only the changed data required by each patch.
  • Checking an already installed patch requires no additional game download.
  • Added a visible installation-folder selector to the launcher. New installations default to C:\Program Files\ToA; existing installation locations are remembered.
  • Fixed installation failing with Access denied in the default Program Files folder. Windows now asks for the required folder permission before downloading.
  • The game can now be downloaded, updated and repaired without signing in to the launcher. Account sign-in takes place inside the game.
  • Added verified launcher updates that install automatically and reopen the launcher. Active game sessions and downloads defer the launcher update.
  • Improved recovery of partially downloaded installations and detection of existing game folders.
  • Kept installation and folder controls readable in smaller launcher windows.
  • The launcher now closes automatically after successfully starting the game. If the game cannot be started, the launcher stays open and displays the error.
  • Updated the launcher and website installer to 0.1.7.
  • Updates now immediately show file verification and patch preparation progress. Pending update checks resume as soon as the current task finishes.
  • The launcher now shows download and update progress during startup.
  • Fixed launcher installation and self-update failures.
